FCC to issue new peak restrictions

June 9, 2006 on 11:06 am | In FCC, Fares, WAGN |

So it finally has happened. There are going to be evening peak restrictions on the cheap tickets, it seems the overcrowding needs to be stopped between 4.30pm and 7pm. The easiest way? Just issue peak restrictions.

FCC have issued a nice leaflet about the forthcoming changes.

  1. The patronising adverts from FirstCapitalConnect proclaim ‘Your Railway’. It’s not ‘my’ railway because I have to pay a considerable amount of money for the privelege of using it.
Now they have introduced Evening Peak Restrictions. People are going to be stranded in town until 7 p.m. unless they pay double. This is abuse of a monopoly. They haven’t introduced these restrictions in South London because people will just use other trains. If they wanted to ease congestion how about longer trains - instead of just cashing in. Rip-off Railways!
