Tube - Thursday - SEVERE DELAYS on ALL lines

So at 17:30 Yesterday (Thursday) the whole of the London Underground system decided to cock up again. Severe delays on All Lines (apart from the Waterloo and City Line, which is closed for Cleaning and the Victoria.)

Is the heat just too much for an old, out dated victorian antique system? Did the Victorians get heatwaves as bad/good as we are getting them now?

I had to answer numerous customers querries with regards to what was happening and as per normal for the tube managment, we were told NOTHING.

Updates on Last Few Days

So whats been going on these last few days on good old First Capital Connect? Due to having Server issues I have been unable to blog about them first hand.
There were two failities on GN line, one at Hitchin and I belive there was one on the Moorgate branch. This caused delays for GNER, Hull Trains and FCC. Being as one was at Hitchin there was no sensible diversion route.
The tube system completely cocked up on Thursday, somthing to do with “faulty commuications equipment”, I will be doing a blog entry on this later.

The last few days heat has also forced lots of speed restrictions on the lines.

Strikes Off

Yeah its Late news I know but the poster tubes which were being delivered today by UPS at the Station are saying both the signallers strikes are being called off.

Damn I was so looking forward to a day off doing Customer Service.

Its Strike time again = Days Off!!!

Good old Bob Crow has decided to get all of his lovely signalers to go on strike over some pay talks which have broken down.

Well it seems its a threat again. But maybe this time it will go ahead and we can all get a day off.

Personally I dont want to work when Network Rails managers are working the signals *shudders*. I wonder could I refuse to work on Safety Grounds (i.e. that NR managers are only good behind desks earning stupid amounts of money and paying themselves even more stupid bonuses)? Interesting thought.

But here is the important information…..
Planned industrial action by some members of the Rail Maritime and Transport Union has been announced, commencing at 12 noon on Friday 21 July 2006 until 11.59am on Saturday 22 July 2006 and also between 12 noon on Thursday 27 July 2006 and 11.59am on Saturday 29 July 2006.

Trespass in the Potters Bar area

Train services between Potters Bar and London Kings Cross are being disrupted due to a trespass incident in the Potters Bar area.

Alterations and delays of up to 45 minutes can be expected for the next 2 hours.

Victoria Line STILL cocked up…

Okay so yeah im writing this post slightly later when the line has re-opened. Well apparently it has but im yet to see any improvement.

So what exactly are Metronet doing, apart from handing out bottles of water at Bank Station, to the Victoria Line? Since Monday their Engineering works have over run every morning.

This has resulted in angry tube passengers taking it out on us, never see Ken getting abuse from passengers do you. In actual fact does anyone actually see Ken?
We have been accepting Tube tickets for reasonable journeys for most of the mornings of the last few days.

Oh and the weather is still hot.
