The Monday Morning Season Ticket Renewal

August 8, 2006 on 12:33 pm | In FCC | Comments Off

Ok people, what is it with Monday Mornings and Season Ticket Renewals?

Why do you always come to the station week in, week out at the same time as the previous week, moan about the same queue being too long and then have a go at us ticket checking staff on the train because YOU missed the same train you missed last week?

You know the ‘Quick’ fare machine isnt going to work, you know the booking office dont care, you know that screwed up £20 note isnt going to be accepted by the machine however hard you try, you know the FastTicket machine is going to eat your super dooper Barclays Platinum Gold Diamond encrusted visa card and you just know theres going to be queues when you get to the station. Its been the same for the past 34 weeks hasnt it!

HERES A CLUE, GET UP EARLIER AND GET TO THE STATION EARLIER!!!! Or you could just renew your season ticket the night before!

All season tickets can be renewed (that means you need to have a season ticket run out in the last few days or about to) up to a few days before the day you want it to start. E.g. You renew it on a Friday evening to start on the next monday morning! And WOW you dont have to queue in that same long queue, nor miss that same train you have missed for the past 34 weeks.

Of course at the end of the day its not us ticket checking staff making you travel to work using the Railways, paying £2.5k a year for a season ticket.

FCC have trolley service on Sunday’s - Apparently

August 7, 2006 on 3:23 pm | In FCC | Comments Off

I was on a station in the middle of nowhere on the Hertford Loop on Sunday and two things surprised the hell out of me.
Number one was that the CIS (Customer Information System) was actually working for a change.
Second that FCC now have trolley services on the Service to Cambridge and Kings Lynn.

Of course it turned out not to be, and the CIS was lying, pretending to say in the good old Robotic BR voice “There is a Trolley Service serving Light Refreshments and Beverages on this service”. I wonder how many years thats been saying that?

Mind you it would be nice if we did have trolleys on our services again, Beacuse it would mean I would get a decent free cup of coffee every morning im working trains. I often get free coffee on most other TOCS, including amazingly GNER.

To all those Media Visitors

Well its about time I acknowledged all those Media people that are visiting this blog. We have had and are continuing to get visits from MGN (Mirror Group), BBC, ITN, BSkyB, DMGT (Daily Mail/ Evening Standard).

If you like this blog then its about you put something about it in your newspapers, this blog isn’t going to get noticed if you keep visiting and then not writing about it.

I do this blog in my spare time, unpaid as well, and I feel that I deserve some kind of recognition for risking my job and blogging about work. Theres other blogs out that there that talk about useless crap and unrelated rubbish and they still get blogging awards.

Hell I dont know why I bother somtimes, I know most of you vistors are from corporate networks and banks such as Nat West Bank Group.

I leek information from FCC and I dont get any thanks.

Oh and yes ive had a really bad day.

Internet Problems

August 4, 2006 on 10:31 pm | In Misc | Comments Off

I apolgise for not posting on this blog for a while, it seems that the scum at TalkTalk have decided to pull a major wire out of some computer router thingy to make the whole of the Countrys TalkTalk users not have any internet.

TalkTalk are a bunch of lying theiving scumbags (I have proof so please take me to court so I can humilate your company). The ‘Free’ Broadband offer is a lie, you actually have to sign up to another service which you will never use and its an 18 month contract with a £70 cancelation fee.

Anyways I have had no Internet for the last 3 days, and apparently the highly educated grad engineers were ‘working around the clock’ to fix it. Personally Id have sacked the lot of them and hired some dole scum, bribed them with £300 if they could fix it, at least it would have got fixed quicker.

Normal Service will be resumed shortly.
