Arriva wins Cross Country Franchise

July 10, 2007 on 11:54 am | In Virgin Trains, XC |

God help us all is all I can say.

Virgin have lost the Cross Country Franchise and the company behind Arrivia Trains Wales and previously Arrivia Trains Northern (yes the one that went on strike every weekend) has won it.

It will be interesting to see how quickly they can bugger it up.

Arriva have no experince of running a long distance train company.

  1. Oh god. I remember what the Trans Penine franchise was like when they ran it. Horrendous. Imagine standing at Piccadilly wondering where your train is, only to be told by crew that they don’t know. How the hell could they lose a train from Leeds? It’s almost a straight line!

    I am full of fear.
