Details are rathy sketchy at the moment but there was a fire on 222012 traveling from Hull to Kings Cross, at around 19:30 the train came to a stand in the Stevenage area.
An emergency call was received by Kings Cross PSB from the driver and the train was evacuated. No passengers were injured and the train evacuation went to plan.
Platform staff at Stevenage were handing out bottles of water to all passengers both off the Hull Trains and other trains sitting in the platform.
The Fire Services stated that they wanted the overhead power lines earthed before they went to the Hull Trains unit, this was done and that is why all services were left at a stand and no services were able to run through the Stevenage area.
More information will be attempted to be sourced.
Services are currently running with delays of up to 3 hours.
