  1. And no information at Kings Cross, chaos with last-minute platform alterations, etc..

  2. Ah yes, the information at King’s Cross was almost hilariously bad. First of all, they did their normal trick of shutting off all but the main departure board (’to prevent crowding’) and then directed everybody for the 1837 to Peterborough to platform 6. Meanwhile the 1853 came into platform 4 and, at 1852, they told everybody on 6 that they’d better leg it over to 4 if they wanted to go anywhere. So, after what looked like a near riot, they delayed the 1853, and let everybody from the 1837 pile on. Once on, they then decided that this was going to be the 1837, and that the 1853 would be a 4-car on platform 8. One minute before departure, with plenty people on board unable to make out the announcement, and getting stuck on board until Biggleswade.

I know KGX is NR’s responsibility, but how is it possible to get things so wrong?

Oh well, there’s another £4 to add to my £50 of TCVs since August…
