The Ticket Collector

‘One’ Railway is incompetent. Where is my £6 Digitix single?

November 9, 2007 on 7:30 pm | In One Railway |

One Railway are to issue £6 single tickets between Cambridge and London Liverpool street. You will have to print these at home and only use the time on your ticket. The equivlent ticket is aroud £13.00
However it seems that One Railway do not have the slightest idea when they are going to start selling them.

Typical idiots that One Railway are, that they have stated on their website the following conflicting information:
Wednesday 07th November: Digitix with £6 one way fares will be available on Thursday 8th November.
Thursday 08th November 1300: Digitix with £6 one way fares will be available later today.
Thursday 08th November 2330: Digitix with £6 one way fares will be available later today.

Now at the time of this entry the website states:
Friday 09th November 1930: Digitix with £6 one way fares will be available later today

So does One Railway actually have any £6 Digitix or is it another lie from the incompetent rail operator?

Call their Customer Relations team on 0845 600 7245 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday (the only train company in the UK who open only Monday to Friday, every other train company at least opens on Saturdays) and make a complaint about their lies on the website. You can also contact them by email at customer.services@onerailway.com (but dont expect a reply immediately, we are still waiting for a response to our complaint from over 6 months ago).

  1. Hmm, well let me tell you something else..

In 2006, onerailway at liverpool street, had no barriers into any of their services? then suddenly they added barriers at liverpool street, travelling down from seven sisters everyday, the barriers sometimes did not work (for no apparent reason), and the guards would spend a good while scrutinising your ticket, which was annoying.

    why is this important?

On http://www.onerailway.co.uk (as of november 2007, now, they appear to have removed it), they stated that there are no fares in the London area? wtf? wouldn’t that mean I could get a train down from seven sisters without paying any fare whatsoever?

    Baffling indeed.
