It now seems that the Emergency Timetable has now been thrown out of the window and started again.

National Express East Coast Services are now starting and terminating at Stevenage or Peterborough. They are not going into London Kings Cross.

First Capital Connect services are suspended between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage and trains are running between London Kings Cross and Welwyn Garden City, between Stevenage and Peterborough and between Stevenage and Cambridge

Replacement buses are running between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage

National Express East Coast services are running a reduced service between Peterborough, Stevenage and London Kings Cross. Other services will start and terminate at Stevenage or Peterborough

First Capital Connect are now running to an emergency timetable as shown below:
xx18 minutes past the hour from London Kings Cross to Peterborough
xx06 and xx46 minutes past the hour from London Kings Cross to Cambridge
xx26 minutes past the hour from London Kings Cross to Hertford North
Services towards London Kings Cross are all running at scheduled timetabled times.
The xx12 minutes past the hour services from Hertford North to London Kings Cross are cancelled.

A bus service is in operation between Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City to supplement rail services

Grand Central and First Hull Trains services are also subject to alterations and delays.

It is estimated that this disruption will continue until the end of service today, Sunday 22 June

Services will soon be able to run via the Hertford Loop. Details will be confirmed once the line has opened between Hertford North and Stevenage (blocked due to engineering work at present).

Currently trains are terminating at Stevenage and forming all stations services back to Peterborough or Cambridge.

There is no current estimate for a normal service to resume. Notwork rail engineers are working as fast as possible to restore power to the lines. Short notice cancellations and continuing delays of up to 90 minutes can be expected.

Train services at Welwyn Garden City are being disrupted due to overhead wire problems in the Welwyn Garden City area. Short notice cancellations and delays of up to 90 minutes can be expected.

Northbound trains travelling north of Welwyn Garden City to Stevenage, Peterborough, Cambridge, Kings Lynn etc are terminating at Welwyn Garden City and forming southbound trains.

Southbound trains from Kings Lynn, Cambridge, Peterborough etc will terminate at Stevenage and form northbound trains.

Welwyn Garden City to Kings Cross services are in operation but are are subject to delay.

Rail replacement buses are running between Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North, Knebworth and Stevenage, and return, from the front of the stations.

First Capital Connect tickets are valid on:
National Express East Anglia trains between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge.
On London Underground Tube services between Kings Cross and Liverpool Street, for passengers travelling to Cambridge on National Express East Anglia trains.
National Express trains between Peterborough and Stevenage and return (non stop services).
Thameslink route services between London St Pancras and Bedford.

National Express East Coast tickets are being accepted on:
First Capital Connect between London Kings Cross and Welwyn Garden City.
East Midlands Trains between London St Pancras and Sheffield.
CrossCountry from Doncaster to Edinburgh / Glasgow.

We are receiving reports of overhead wire sections on the East Coast Mainline at Langley Junction (near Welwyn Garden City) tripping out.

Services are currently at a stand.
